Whoohoopics | Peter Popoff
Popoff will send you free miracle tap water if you fill out a form on his website. The form has a "prayer" field which doesn't show what you type in it. I suspect he is trying to make you think only God can read this prayer. Taking a closer look I discovered that he is simply using white text on a white background, which means he does get the info you write there. You can see it too, if you simply select the text your browser will show it.
As an experiment, I ordered Peter Popoff's free miracle springwater. In the prayer field, I entered something along the lines of "I need a bunch of money to get out of debt". The result was letters that were adjusted to this "prayer" with hot reading skills. Although Popoff is based in the US, he appears to have a UK office that he uses to send stuff to people in Europe. Frightening that enough people fall for this, to allow him to expand his empire so much.
I scanned the letters I received. They were very interesting, and carefully designed to manipulate you into sending him tons of money. Quite frightening, if you think of it. No wonder this guy pulls in millions and millions of dollars each year.
Anyway, here are the letters. I will be responding to him, however I will not be sending money. Keep watching my blog if you want to see what I am up to.

Letter 001 - Miracle spring water and gold/silver bracelet
01/23/2010This is the first letter, with the miracle spring water and the gold/silver bracelet. I never asked for the gold/silver bracelet, so this came as a surprise. Letter 002, different gallery, came in my mailbox the exact same day. This letter has an intricate system of envelopes inside envelopes that are intented to be opened after reading the right letter first, in the right order, and in the right time frame, all this to manipulate you into sending Popoff money as efficient as possible. Creepy and infuriating.
Letter 002 - Miracle salt
01/23/2010This is another letter that arrived in my mailbox the same day as the miracle spring water. I had not expected this letter, and i am wondering whether I "unleashed the beast" by giving this fraud my address.
